ScreenDock legal

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the ScreenDock mobile app, Mac companion, website, trial, and Pro purchase.

Last updated September 17, 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using ScreenDock, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use ScreenDock. ScreenDock is provided by the developer operating as igodia.dev, referred to as “ScreenDock”, “we”, “us”, or “our”. Apple's applicable App Store terms and standard licensed application terms also apply to apps obtained through the App Store.

2. What ScreenDock provides

ScreenDock lets a compatible iPhone or iPad receive a display stream from a compatible Mac over an available local connection. Depending on your devices and operating system, ScreenDock may offer an extended display, screen mirroring, display scaling, automatic discovery, and wired route preference when supported.

ScreenDock requires separate Mac and mobile apps, compatible hardware and operating systems, local network access, and Screen Recording permission on the Mac. Performance, resolution, latency, refresh rate, and wired availability depend on your devices, network, cable, system settings, and operating system behavior.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use ScreenDock on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the applicable App Store rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, interfere with security, or use ScreenDock to violate law or another person's rights, except where a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Use ScreenDock only with devices, displays, and content you are authorized to access.
  • Keep your Mac, mobile device, local network, and pairing code secure.
  • Do not use ScreenDock to expose confidential or unlawful content to unauthorized people.
  • Install operating system and ScreenDock updates needed for security and compatibility.
  • Comply with workplace, copyright, privacy, and other rules that apply to displayed content.

5. Trial and ScreenDock Pro

ScreenDock Pro is offered through Apple as a one time, nonconsumable in app purchase. If a free trial or promotional offer is available, its eligibility, duration, price, and payment timing are shown in the app and in Apple's purchase confirmation before you approve the transaction. ScreenDock does not process your payment directly and the lifetime purchase does not create a recurring subscription.

The current price and currency are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by storefront, taxes, or Apple pricing changes. Apple processes payment, refunds, and purchase restoration under the terms of your Apple Account and App Store. A completed lifetime purchase unlocks the Pro features included in the purchased version for as long as ScreenDock continues to make those features available on supported devices. It is not a promise that every future feature, platform, operating system, or third party service will be included forever.

6. Updates and compatibility

We may update, add, change, suspend, or remove features to improve ScreenDock, protect security, comply with platform requirements, or maintain compatibility. Apple and other platform vendors may change operating systems, permissions, networking, display behavior, or APIs in ways that affect ScreenDock. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, network, cable, display, or future operating system release.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep ScreenDock reliable, but it may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or affected by network conditions and third party platforms. We may provide updates and support at our discretion. Contact us through the ScreenDock websitefor help.

8. Intellectual property

ScreenDock, its software, design, branding, and website content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of ScreenDock or any related intellectual property to you. You retain all rights in content shown through your own devices.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenDock is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and noninfringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, zero latency, lossless image quality, or compatibility with every configuration. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenDock and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, opportunity, or goodwill arising from ScreenDock. Our total liability for claims relating to ScreenDock will not exceed the amount you paid for ScreenDock during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using ScreenDock at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, misuse ScreenDock, threaten its security, or if continuing the service is no longer reasonably possible. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will remain effective.

12. Governing rules and consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the ScreenDock provider is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and the courts available to you under the law of your country remain unaffected. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as ScreenDock evolves. Material changes will apply prospectively and the updated date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law. Questions can be sent through the ScreenDock website.
