Privacy Policy

ScreenDock is designed to keep your display stream on your local connection. This policy explains the limited information used to operate, improve, and sell the app.

The short version

  • Your screen content is sent directly between your Mac and your iPhone or iPad.
  • ScreenDock does not upload or store your screen content on our servers.
  • No ScreenDock account is required.
  • Anonymous usage and purchase information may be processed by Mixpanel, RevenueCat, and Apple.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the ScreenDock app for iPhone and iPad, the ScreenDock companion for Mac, and the ScreenDock website. ScreenDock is provided by the developer operating as igodia.dev, referred to as “ScreenDock”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.

2. Information processed by ScreenDock

Display content

When you start a display session, the Mac app captures the display you select, encodes it, and sends it directly to the paired iPhone or iPad over the available local connection. ScreenDock does not send that display content to our website, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, or any ScreenDock cloud storage. We do not keep recordings of your display sessions.

Local network and pairing information

ScreenDock uses local network discovery to find nearby ScreenDock devices. During this process, the apps may process a device name, local network endpoint, connection type, device display capabilities, and a six digit pairing code. Pairing credentials are stored in the device Keychain. The last connected Mac name and connection preferences may be stored locally on the device. This information is used only to discover, secure, reconnect, and configure the display session.

App preferences

ScreenDock stores settings such as onboarding completion, appearance, pairing information, and display preferences on your device. These values are used to preserve your choices between app sessions.

Product analytics

ScreenDock may use Mixpanel to understand app sessions, onboarding steps, paywall views, trial starts, and purchase or restore outcomes. Analytics events can include app version, build number, device family, session duration, access state, a random session identifier, and an anonymous analytics identifier. Automatic event collection is disabled in our integration.

We do not intentionally include screen content, pairing codes, Mac names, or local network addresses in analytics event properties. Like most internet services, Mixpanel may receive connection information such as an IP address and may derive an approximate location from it. ScreenDock does not use analytics for advertising or cross app advertising tracking.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. ScreenDock uses RevenueCat to load the available lifetime purchase, verify purchase and entitlement status, and restore access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product and transaction information, purchase history, and current entitlement status. When both Mixpanel and RevenueCat are enabled, ScreenDock may pass the anonymous Mixpanel identifier to RevenueCat so purchase events can be measured consistently.

3. Website information

The ScreenDock website does not require an account and does not currently use advertising or product analytics cookies. When the website is hosted, the hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time for security, reliability, and server logs. Links to other websites are governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Why we process information

  • To discover and securely connect your devices.
  • To stream and render the display you choose.
  • To remember settings, pairing, and access state.
  • To process, verify, and restore purchases.
  • To understand reliability and improve onboarding and purchase flows.
  • To prevent misuse, diagnose failures, and comply with legal obligations.

Where European data protection law applies, these activities rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving ScreenDock, your consent where it is required, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Service providers

We may share only the information needed for the following providers to perform their services:

  • Apple, for App Store distribution, in app purchases, receipts, and refunds.
  • RevenueCat, for purchase and entitlement management.
  • Mixpanel, for limited product analytics when analytics is enabled.
  • Our website hosting provider, for delivery, security, and operational logs.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share screen content with these providers. Their processing is also governed by their own terms and privacy commitments.

6. Retention and deletion

Display frames are processed in real time and are not retained by ScreenDock after delivery. Local preferences remain until you reset or remove them. Pairing credentials are stored in the system Keychain and may remain after the app is removed, depending on operating system behavior. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required to provide lifetime access, prevent fraud, handle support, and meet legal obligations. Analytics data is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to understand product use and improve ScreenDock.

To request access to or deletion of information held through our service providers, contact us using the link below. Because ScreenDock does not require an account and uses anonymous identifiers, we may need an anonymous identifier or purchase information to locate a record.

7. Your choices and rights

You can stop a display session at any time, revoke Screen Recording or Local Network access in system settings, reset local app data, or stop using ScreenDock. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data and to receive a portable copy of certain data. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security and international processing

ScreenDock protects the device connection with pairing and encrypted transport. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own and use appropriate legal safeguards where required.

9. Children

ScreenDock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when ScreenDock or its data practices change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version. For privacy questions or requests, use the ScreenDock website.
